I've been using eHost from 11 months and the quality of service is pretty amazing. I signed up for eHost.com in Jan 2015 and I'm surprised with the quality of support, they have been polite whenever I had any problem. Seriously, if you are starting a new blog then eHost might be the best options for you. Site uptime and site loading speed is great.

Earlier I had some problems with the name servers so I raised a ticket and the issue was resolved within 16-18 minutes, great isn't it ? For just $2.75 per month (for 1st year) its a value for money service. I don't know why eHost is having some bad reviews as I'm completely satisfied and happy with their service. Just go for ehost without having any second thought in your mind. VALUE FOR MONEY!

The eHost is a poor hosting as compared to the other hosting like HostGator or like that, there support is not as quick as they should be.
There is not a 99% UPTIME.
It can cause a lot of problems in the running site. If you going to work on the High Project then you should keep away from this.
But if you are in start of a micro-niche site then you can take the eHost hosting, as there rates are good and affordable.
Support is not very good. I prefer the hosting that have the best support, because it helps me a lot in any problem that i face.

For this few months, I have no problem with my website, which obviously have a little page for my landing page. So, I didn't face some problem which occurred on some their customers.

My first impression for their support is good. They replied not more than an hour after I created my ticket and they kind of helpful when resolve my little problem on my ftp account.

I cannot really think of anything negative to say. the only drawback that I personally don't like is their pricing. There have been no major drawbacks to service or functionality and I have since had no down time.

I have made several sites with eHost and never had a problem, ok once the DNS has to be reconfigured but it took less than 24 hours. I am not sure why so many negative reviews, its like buying a stapler and asking why doesn't it drive a nail into wood...thats not its job. If you want a hammer, buy one. The majority of people complaining could have solved there problems by doing research and going to YouTube but instead decide to complain about something that costs less a month than what you spend on coffee!!! Sorry, just makes me upset when a good site gets bad reviews from amateurs who dont know what they need or want.

Contrary to rumours about eHost not being good enough, I, being their customer for more than a year, am in awe of their service. The prices are all competitive which is almost welcome by everyone, especially those not wanting to spend too much on the creation of new websites. The loading time of the pages is very fast which attracts more traffic. My website has got close to no downtime which is really appreciable. The support team is also very quick with their responses, almost always responding in a matter of some minutes, in rare cases, a maximum of couple hours. Almost every time my problem has been solved with easy. I would, for sure recommend eHost to everyone.

First of all, I wish I had read some of these reviews before joining EHost. Tickets answered by email seem friendly and fast, but are rarely accurately handled. I had to get help with registering and was charged for the privacy without having asked for that. When I emailed for a ticket on that issue, they replied "Your account will be refunded, we're sorry to see you go." It's like they didn't even read the issue. When I replied with the issue again, I was informed that the charge was refunded. Today, I discovered the withdrawal IS on my bank statement. And my site is STILL not published....the DNS registration didn't work even after I contacted them 2 more times and was told it was handled. I am about cancel it, which is frustrating after having done all that work to design the site.

I will add, the Chat representative was helpful in trying to resolve my registration issue. However, email support is highly frustrating.....it's like they aren't communicating with direct responses that truly reflect understanding. My take - they are foreign and have scripted answers.

Definitely disappointed. This was my first hosting experience and the quality of service was abysmal. They were consistently understaffed and unable to complete requests within a reasonable period of time. Wait times were often beyond outrageous and I often had to wait hours to have my concerns mentioned. They continuously made countless mistakes which would throw already delicate situations into heavier chaos. I finally determined that it would be best to change hosts since this service would be unacceptable once our site fully launched. After waiting 2 and a half weeks to have an SSL certificate installed I set up services with someone else. Unfortunately they are a pain to deal with even after you have left. I am currently chatting with them to receive the SSL certificate I had purchased but had not been installed. During this conversation they have tried to delay providing the SSL by asking me to repoint the domain nameservers back to them on two occasions, both by email and through this chat, where i had to reinforce the concept that i had changed hosts, consistent unnecessary holds, additional questions on whether i would be installing the SSL certificate with them, statements saying it is the new hosts responsibility and not theirs even though they had not issued the SSL certificate, Asking that I return to my new hosting provider to request a CSR even though I had already provided to ehost on three separate occasions, including twice during our current conversation, and I finally just found out through our chat that they will be opening a ticket for this which will have no ETA. I am currently under the impression that it will take another 2 and a half weeks to have this 5 minute process completed.

Prior to subscribing, their website advised quite clearly that my requested .com.au domain had been reserved for me, subject to me subscribing to their hosting service.
Following subscribing, I have now been told that they can not register .au domains and that I must do this elsewhere, and then bring my domain to them.

Services and Specializations

eHost keeps things very simple. They only offer one hosting package, which is a low-cost, shared plan. But they give you plenty of features with that plan.

The plan includes unlimited storage space, bandwidth, domains, and MySQL databases. To get your site up and running quickly, a drag and drop website builder is included with thousands of templates, as well as a blog setup wizard. Popular CMS applications, including WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal are also available to install. All accounts receive unlimited email addresses, webmail, spam filters, and virus checking.

On the surface eHost appears to provide an efficient system for producing and hosting websites. However; the templates, while free, are bland and more or less the same with a few cosmetic colour and image changes, etc.

The email format system is horrid: default spacing can not be modified and there are few options for producing detailed signatures and letter formats compared to other providers. Also, there is no address auto-fill function on the To/cc/bcc boxes (like you get on Outlook, Hotmail, gmail, etc) so each email address has to be entered by hand every time you want to send a message. This requires looking up email addresses or keeping a list next to your computer for every single message you send.

The absolute worst part, however, is the technical and billing support system and staff. Never in my life have I had a more frustrating experience dealing with a group of incompetent people. After trying to purchase a second email account for $5 a month my credit card and account was billed nine separate times for a total of $45. After all of that I still had no active email account and it took seven days for the ticket to move through the appropriate channels to the point where the billing issue could be resolved. A customer relations staff member told me over the phone that I would be comped a second free email address for my services only to have that promise nullified once my ticket progressed to anyone with the authority to make actual changes. My business and reputation have suffered as a result.

I will not be renewing my subscription next year. I will NEVER recommend eHost to anyone. My advice to everyone is to avoid eHost like the plague.

When I wanted to sign up for this hosting service - the first interesting point showed up - they offer the hosting service for 2,75 EUR / month on their web page (nothing about from etc...), - and the price is ... 4,99 EUR / month
Somewhat disappointed I continued through the following five pages of extras, add-ons etc.with a rather pricy pricetag - I thought I had got all of these options to no thank you - however, one small one (privacy for 9,95 USD) sneaked trough - I didn't wanted it - and I had already given the credit card
Next came up a choice of either c-panel or their website builder
That is quite useless - normally other providers have the web-site builder as an option in the c-panel !!! - so now I got even more worried
Finally I discovered that they do not have unlimited domains hosted on your account - you just have to pay for the extra - exactly opposite of their web page
So - with this I asked for my money back - I can only see a future with daily troubles when the sign up procedure is full of hidden fees and not correct prices
Sorry - this was my 5 minutes in ehost.com space

My experience with ehosts has been a disaster. They could not accept a third party SSL cert on my site. Because my site was built before I acquired the domain they suggested I built under a “false domain” file structure. They then supplied SSL and attached it not to the new domain I purchased but to the “false domain” making SSL unusable. They cancelled the SSL but after more than a month have not refunded me. Meanwhile I still could not purchase SSL for my new domain, possibly because of the legacy file structure. I requested that this be sorted out 2 1/2 months ago and support is appalling. I have now moved to another host and my whole hosting charges have been a waste. My chances of recovering them are slim and I have no trust in ehost at all, technically or financially.

I have been a customer for a little over 24 hours and so far I am not impressed at all. The first part was my mistake, I chose their web builder instead of cpanel during checkout, not realizing that I could not switch over if it was the incorrect option. The second part was their mistake. When getting my free domain, I unclicked one of the default charges they have for privacy settings, and it charged me an extra $10. There was no confirmation cart to show you what you are being charged before submission, so this really ticked me off as I know I had unclicked that option. Basically, their own website is buggy. Instead of being able to switch me over to cpanel, they told me that I have to wait 24 to 72 hours to cancel my account, and I would have to go through the entire process again, setting up a new account. Not to mention, I'd have to wait another 5 to 7 business days to get my money back. I tried calling them to get faster results and was just redirected back through their ticketing system. This shouldn't be news, but if you are calling, it's because you want faster results and don't want to have to wait for there online ticketing system. Anyways, it is now over 24 hours and I have not received a response, which is terrible response time for an online business and hosting. I am just going to cancel because it's already been more trouble than it's worth and it's left a really bad taste in my mouth. Don't bother with their online chatting, because you'll get boxed, prompted, answers, instead of anyone actually using their own common sense.

I bought an ehost account for 2years when saw the ratings is some of the web hosting ranking. However, just in few days I realize that the uptime is not good at all. My website was down more than 50% of the time.

I asked them for a refund and it was little painful to wait all the time. I got a partial refund, they cut $15 for 2days service.

My advice if interested to buy a service better get a trial one with hosting company. Hostgator gives a trial period, I bought hosting just a dollar for a month and Uptime a very good. I will probably go with them.

I have purchased ehost hosting 3 days earlier. They said that they import big sql file for you. I asked 2 database file to move. My website is offline for more than 16 hours but they didn't moved it. When I asked to do it little faster they said lot of other customer is in queue. I was surprised with this answer and asked if they can do it faster or I will move out. We went from Wix to EHost and I must say Im very very disappointed. They need your credit card information and if you are so unlucky that you click on a addon they automatically invoice you and take the money from your card. If you tell them that you only wanted to learn more about the addon before buying they say that they cant return the money because its a addon. This is a very bad way to do business. If you want to delete your credit card its impossible!! I will never recommend this company for anyone. The only whay for us is to cancel the whole thing and leave them for good.

They offered £100 in free adwords vouchers. However, upon signing up I discovered that this was only available to people in the US.

I requested a refund. 5 weeks later, I am still waiting for a refund. I am calling customer services every week for an "update".

I really want to like this service provider. The features are rich and they appear to offer a bit of flexibility. They have a simple point and click for those who simply want to get something going and a cPanel option with multiple add ons for those who want more control.
However, after multiple calls to support, I can not access my Domain, nor can anyone else. The website name simply is not associated with an ip address. That is demonstrated by ns lookup and ping both returning "not found". Interestingly enough the ip address is found. Apparently something has been dropped on the eHost side, but I can't get anyone to address this. The responses I did receive from support were simply cut and paste garbage from their knowledge base that did not address the problem. I am not sure if their support is being done by inadequate AI or people who do not bother to read the problem statement or people who do not have the training to understand the problem. This is most unsatisfactory. This is not a product or company one can work with.

Hi, I'm a Web & Graphic Designer sinc more than 8 years. I have tried few Hosting provider over the few years. I have moved to eHost from Hostgator because of a much better deal. I have bough a 3 year hosting plan for my website http://hpeter.me. As I'm dealing with clients payments I use Stripe for Credit card payments, so to make it secure I have purchased an SSL certificate. Unfortunately the Certificate does not works with subdomains. eHosts forgot to tell about it on their offer. So I contacted support asking for refund but they responded with a link to their TOS they can not refund this service.

They telling you about Refunds, but it is just a great Marketing... If you will actually request they will gives you a link to their TOS and you can [email protected] off....

If you need PROFESSIONAL service I DO NOT recommend eHost because they are very far from that! They need to learn a lot. I'm very disappointed with them and their service and I feel cheated a little.

I have paid the hosting service for 3 years which is good, and I will stay with them over this period of time.

I have been a client of ehosts for a few month now. I host my site newptcsites.us through them. The have exceptional support and immense amount of features that are available to use for free. I cannot really think of anything negative to say. the only drawback that I personally don't like is the cPanel interface that comes default with ehost. Support is terrible! I have waited for a response to what they say is a glitch in their system to install a new credit card. I called twice and they said there was a ticket in for it. I called again and informed support that I was waiting for a response, however, there is still no response. My site was easy to set up but support is not good.I believe that there are many way to handle this...Even resetting the site to start over new again but that is not happening. Really, really good support with email, phone and online chat options. The latter is especially convenient and helpful. Problems resolved every time. The sitebuilder is one of the best, most professional and easiest to use I've ever experienced - very powerful - and control over mobile view design is also excellent. Just a couple of small caveats. With cpanel you get unlimited email addresses under your domain, but with sitebuilder you only get one and have to pay for additional accounts. This wasn't explained early doors. Also, on sitebuilder, you can easily end up deleting your entire website when you are in the manage emails section. Think along the lines of "Delete email account" - click - "Are you sure you want to delete your email account" - click - "Your website has been deleted." Aaaaaaaagggghhhhhh.

Other wise though, besides these two real schoolboy errors, I can't recommend ehost enough. A great provider.

I am using eHost.com to create a web site that includes a simple Contact Us form. Per my experience with other hosting sites, and eHosts own instructions, I chose to use SMTP SSL when setting up the email form. The result was 3 minute response time from eHost.com from when the submit button is pressed to when the response is received back from eHost that the email has been successfully received. That means that the user has to wait 3 minutes to see the Thank You for Contacting Us screen. I contacted support, and was instructed to not use SSL, which reduced the response time to 10 seconds. I asked if the 3 minute response time for SSL requests was what I should expect, and was told, "yes." I tried the same form using SSL with my regular email provider, and received instantaneous response. This suggests that something is not right with the way eHosts is handling SSL requests. If I ever wanted to take credit cards, I would be forced to find another hosting solution.

Regarding various features, eHost is fine. They have a lot of capabilities for file management, email account creation, etc., so no complaints there. But the SSL thing really seems beyond the pale...

Amazing value for money, to be able to make a website like the one I did, as easily as I did, in the time that I did, for the money I paid, it's simply unbelievable. I'm so proud of what I made and I did it all just with £4, an internet connection and 10 minutes!

If you need a website for any reason, I highly suggest eHost as they are way more than a website hosting company! I agree totally with the other customer reviews, eHost ROCKS! I signed up and my welcome email included wrong name servers and IP address, I wasted a lot of time trying to get things to work and emailed support.
Received an email with apology and correct IP but other name servers that were also incorrect, so wasted more time trying to get things to work.
I did not get clear and full log in details to FTP my files and thought I needed to create a new FTP account, not realizing that now all files were going to a different folder, resulting in the website being off line for some time until a very long phonecall from Australia to the US got it sorted out.
Finally now my site is working but during the downtime Google did the monthly crawl and my site has dropped significantly in the rankings with a load of rubbish as description which will cost me a lot of business until this will recover again.
I deeply regret moving my site to this host.
