All of Hosting24’s hosting plans are based on Linux.

There are two shared hosting packages available through Hosting24: the Silver plan and the Gold plan. Each type of shared hosting plan allows for unlimited disk space and bandwidth. The main difference between each account is that the Gold account allows for add-on domains, anonymous FTP, custom nameservers and comes with a dedicated IP address.

Hosting plans are only priced on a monthly basis and can be cancelled at any time.

There are two options for resellers, the Starter plan and the Business plan. Each plan allows for unlimited MySQL databases, cPanel accounts and email accounts, and both come with professional billing software. Automatic weekly backups are provided along with a dedicated IP address. The main difference between the two accounts is that the starter plan restricts disk space to 50 GB, bandwidth to 500 GB and doesn’t provide a website creation tool for reseller customers.

Support options with Hosting24 appear to be relatively limited. There is a Live Chat facility, ticketing system, email address and fax number but no phone line.

Hosting24 does advertise its Facebook page as a support channel and it does respond to queries through this channel, although customers requesting support are often referred to the ticketing system.

The limited support options - particularly the lack of a technical support line - is likely to put some people off. However, do remember that you’re not tied into a contract. If something goes wrong, you can cancel without penalty. Besides, there are other support channels if you’re happy not using the phone.
