I like Hosting24 and I have started to use it for my clients also. If you work clean all can be blazing fast.
The only bad thing I can say about Hosting24 is that the customer support answers pretty late in weekends and the free domains are registered in 24-48 h.
Overall I recommend Hosting24.
Hosting 24 has been excelent for me. Support is somewhat poor (chat is very laggy and when you need an instant explanation/solution they go around about everything but the actual problem...)
The worst thing Hosting 24 has is the unstable Server Response Times. I bet this is due to the huge amount of accounts hosted in a single server.
If they want more clients, they will need to maximize the Data Center's capacity, mainly by putting more servers and hosting less accounts in each one.
I have used hosting24 for about 3 years. Up until recently they have been fine. A few hickups but all in all, no problem. Until recently. For the past 3 weeks my dedicated IP address has been flagged by Spamnaus for issues not my own. Hostng24 is the only one who can clear this flag. Apparently there have been multiple spam issues or something from a range of IPs. The only explanation II can get from customer support is that they are addressing the issue and thanks for my patience. At the beginning of this episode I was told by CS that an upgrade to GOLD would solve the problem. It did not. For three weeks I have been using a gmail smtp to send messages. I am a professional with a good reputation. This is not helpful.
Hosting24 uptime is quite poor, and it seems to offer no guarantee at all, according to its Terms of Service page, the only policy page about its services. I've spoken to them a few times about this for clarification and they told that they do offer Guarantee (probably extension of additional 3 months) if the annual uptime falls below 99%.
The most regular error that I get is: Service Temporarily Unavailable
Of course, I did contact their live chat numerous time but failed to resolve the problem because they couldn't reproduce the error since it occurs intermittently.
From what I've realised, this is also a very dangerous problem for WordPress users because most recent data will lost before the error.
I was writing a document in WordPress and it kept telling me to re-login due to session expiration, after re-logging in, even though I clicked "Save Draft" in time, when I came back to the page, the data were gone.
Luckily, my Chrome browser saved it and I could restore, otherwise my efforts were in vain.
Although that issue is debatable that it's related to WordPress, not hosting.
I've another issue, which can support my claim that it's related to hosting.
The session expiration was too quick, less than 5 minutes it asked me to re-login and whenever I re-logged in, the above would be the continuity of the story.
Thus, I decided to extend the session expiration. I installed and activated the "configure-login-timeout" plugin, afterwards, while I'm editing the settings, the session expiration popup again.
After I logged, you know what? The plugin settings page had gone under WordPress Settings menu, so I navigated to Plugins and realised the plugin I just installed and activated has gone too!
We use a lot of their online chat support. We manage to not only solve a lot of problems at hand but also learn new stuff from their chat support team thereby helping us to solve related problems and this helps us to grow our business !
Hosting24.com sucks. The same excuse every time they go down.
"We have just received a HUGE (over 3GB/s incoming traffic) DDoS attack targeting the Server #xx. Our CISCO guard firewall was unable to handle such attack, so one of the server IP address - abc.def.uvw.xyz was disabled (all the rest websites on this server are working fine). If your website is using this IP (due to unique IP rotation system only 10 websites are using this IP) it will be unavailable for the next 3 hours. As soon as the attack subsides, this IP address will be enabled and your website will start working again. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
Couple of things wrong with this tired old excuse. The cpanel is available via IP, & there are over 100 sites when checking on ipreverse.com/lookup/abc.def.uvw.xyz
My site is regularly down 3 to 4 times a month with this host.
I've moved on.
I have been using Hosting24 for almost two months now. I am using Shared Web Hosting, GOLD.
Their prices are very cheap, but I wish I didn't purchase their service. The uptime has been horrible.
My website gets offline almost daily. According to pingdom my website has been offline for over 50+ times.
My website is simply slow and has lots of timeouts. I have CloudFlare ON and everything optimized, it doesn't help.
I contacted support, while they responded fairly quickly, the didn't help at all. Their solution was to upgrade to GOLD, while I did upgrade to GOLD , I found out that it has no speed/reliability improvements.
You get what you pay for, and if you are looking to host a serious website, don't use Hosting24. I'm switching as soon as my subscription ends.
I went for the Gold plan, which allows to host as many domains as you want.
My websites have always been incredibly slow to load both from Europe and North America, typically 20 seconds with a perfectly fine Internet connection.
In spite of constant updates and cache plugins for my WordPress websites, Hosting24 constantly sent me messages about excessive server load and resource usage and never wanted to provide me with these data.
Every time Hosting24 made an update to their servers, some things like the execution of PHP scripts on .html pages stopped working.
Uptime was the worst point: my websites have been down so many times because of so-called "server updates" and Hosting24 never noticed it themselves.
Their support is not too bad, but expect a first answer that totally misses the target and then only, if you write back, they may read your message.
Go for this host if you have a website that receives a couple of visits per day, otherwise look further.
I have been using hosting24 for almost 3 years now, and I have to say that is it an amazing site! The longest I have ever had to wait for a reply in support is 4 hours. Never had a single problem with them servers are always up. I would highly recommend this to anyone with any range of intellect. The only down part would be that they need a better web creator. Other then that its awesome!
I come back with another opinion. After I have used a few months the web hosting services from Hosting 24, I have discovered that they have a very bad uptime. And I have moved al my projects from them.
Do not chose Hosting24.com. It is hard to believe that anyone can be satisfied with their service. Costumer support is almost non existent. They are there but apart from "sincerely apologizing for inconvenience" just useless. Uptime and server response time are horrendous so any effort you make to improve your position in search engines just a waste of time because you site is unresponsive or ridiculously slow. I hosted a few sites at hosting24 for two months and it was clearly my worst decision ever as a webmaster. Since then I found cheaper and better host than Hosting 24. HOSTING 24 SUCKS
Terrible mistake to host your web site on this provider. Their uptime is the worst, you will not be able to log in to cPanel and phpmyadmin will be ALWAYS slow. They always blame third-parties for their downtime and you have to wait unlimited days to get access!! For instance I can't make proper use of cpanel since May because their technical team is useless. i.e. you will be able to use cpanel 2 out 7 days per week!
Hosting24 is an international web hosting company offering shared and VPS hosting services. The website offers little information regarding who the company was founded by, but it appears to be privately owned and run.
The website has a contact address which suggests that it is based in Lithuania and the Facebook page suggests that it has been operating since 2007.
As a relatively new hosting company in the industry, Hosting24 is able to offer a good range of shared and VPS hosting plans at competitive rates.
Hosting24 Hosting Plans
All of Hosting24’s hosting plans are based on Linux.
There are two shared hosting packages available through Hosting24: the Silver plan and the Gold plan. Each type of shared hosting plan allows for unlimited disk space and bandwidth. The main difference between each account is that the Gold account allows for add-on domains, anonymous FTP, custom nameservers and comes with a dedicated IP address.
Hosting plans are only priced on a monthly basis and can be cancelled at any time.
There are two options for resellers, the Starter plan and the Business plan. Each plan allows for unlimited MySQL databases, cPanel accounts and email accounts, and both come with professional billing software. Automatic weekly backups are provided along with a dedicated IP address. The main difference between the two accounts is that the starter plan restricts disk space to 50 GB, bandwidth to 500 GB and doesn’t provide a website creation tool for reseller customers.
Customers looking for a VPS hosting solution can scale their server needs from 1,000 MHz processor speed, 1024 MB RAM, 10,000 MB disk space, 1,000 GB bandwidth through a 30 MB/s connection with 1 dedicated IP address up to 8,000 MHz processor speed, 8192 MB RAM, 80,000 MB disk space, 8,000 GB bandwidth through 100 MB/s connection and 8 dedicated IP addresses.
There are two different affiliate programs available through Hosting24 for customers who want to make money through referrals. One option is a standard flat rate per successful referral. The second option awards 50% of a referred customer’s hosting fees on an ongoing basis.
Hosting24’s shared hosting pages indicate that customers benefit from 99.9% uptime, but there doesn’t appear to be any guarantee to back this claim up. The website does display live server statistics for the past 24 hours and the past 7 days; at the time of writing, this suggested that they hit at least 99.9% uptime, but a week isn’t really long enough to make a call on this.
Data centre facilities appear to be rented from Immedion which runs several large facilities in the US.
Support options with Hosting24 appear to be relatively limited. There is a Live Chat facility, ticketing system, email address and fax number but no phone line.
Hosting24 does advertise its Facebook page as a support channel and it does respond to queries through this channel, although customers requesting support are often referred to the ticketing system.
Hosting24 in the News
Hosting24 appear to be a relatively low-key hosting organisation and as such, it has not been covered in the main technical media sites. This suggests that the company’s services are relatively stable.
Hosting24 Control Panel
Hosting24 provides cPanel for its shared hosting customers and cPanel/WHM for VPS hosting. This control panel is widely used in the hosting industry will be familiar to the majority of people who have purchased web hosting service before.
Hosting24 do not offer much in the way of sweeteners to seal the deal. However, plans come with a free ‘premium’ domain name and free account activation, which is fairly standard, but nice to see.
There are also a range of free website development tools on offer, including Visual Web builder, RvSiteBuilder Pro, Trendy SiteBuilder and Softaculous. Ruby on Rails, WordPress, Joomla PHP, Perl and more applications are supported, and some scripts can be installed through the control panel.
Hosting24 Money Back Guarantee / Cancellation Policy
Hosting24 offers an industry standard 30-day money-back guarantee to its customers. Customers can cancel within the first 30 days and get a full refund, although domain name registration fees for ‘free’ domains are deducted.
Hosting24 offers a range of hosting plans suited to medium and small sized businesses. The plans are simple and effective and this is probably Hosting24’s biggest selling point. The extra option for affiliates, giving them a kickback for long-term users, is also a nice touch.
The limited support options - particularly the lack of a technical support line - is likely to put some people off. However, do remember that you’re not tied into a contract. If something goes wrong, you can cancel without penalty. Besides, there are other support channels if you’re happy not using the phone.
This host specializes in shared Linux webhosting plans. It does not offer Windows plans are available.
Not really, although you need to bear in mind that discounts do not apply to renewals.
No, Hosting24 offers only entry-level shared webhosting plans and VPS plans.
Yes, you will get a free premium domain even with the entry level Silver and Gold plans.
While Hosting24 provides free domains for new customers, it does not provide domain registration services on a regular basis. It’s part of the Hostinger group and handles domain registration through this registrar.
The company has a standard 30-day money-back guarantee. Certain fees, such as domain registrations fees, are not covered.
Yes, the company offers eight different VPS plans.
Hosting24 offers 24/7 user support via live chat. There is no support hotline.
Hosting24 is a Cypriot company, but it caters to an international market, so English is the primary language. Obviously, you should have no trouble getting support in Greek as well.
The head office is located in Larnaca, Cyprus.
This host uses US-based data centers located in North Carolina and Texas.
Hosting24 supports the standard suite of scripting and programming languages, including PHP, Curl, Ruby, Ruby on Rails and others.
Yes - the company offers two reseller plans.
Two different affiliate programs are available, for one-time commissions and lifetime commissions.
There is not a lot of information on migration support, but the company says it offers free website transfer services for new clients.
Yes, the entry-level shared plans should be able to meet your needs.
If you plan to host several small sites on a shared plan, the Gold plan is the one to go for.
Yes, you can choose RvSiteBuilder Pro or Zyro Sitebuilder on their shared plans.
Hosting24 offers industry standard security, and also offers CloudFlare DDoS protection and ClamAV antivirus protection.
Yes, the plans support osCommerce and a few other features you may need.
Yes, free migration support is available, but detailed information is limited.
They should, as they advertise free website transfer support.
SSL certificates do not appear to be available, so you will have to provide them yourself.
While shared plans come with unlimited storage, there are some limitations. Content must comply with the terms of service, so make sure to study them carefully.
Hosting24 won’t allow you to set up file sharing and mirroring site, generator scripts, image hosting scripts, forums discussing illegal content, and gambling sites.
The host provides the latest version of cPanel on all plans.
You can use PayPal and the company accepts all major credit/debit cards.
Hosting24 has a 99.9% up-time guarantee.
CloudFlare DDoS protection and ClamAV are included in shared packages, as well as automatic weekly updated.
Yes, but not on the entry level Silver plan.
You can’t pay on a monthly basis. The host accepts 3-month, 6-month, 12-month, 24-month and 36-month payments.
Yes, whois ID privacy is available as an optional add-on.
All plans come with automatic weekly backups.
It all depends on your needs. While the Gold shared plan can deal with multiple small websites, if you need something capable of handling more traffic, you might need one of their VPS plans.
You can use an unlimited number of email accounts on both shared plans.
The host reserves the right to disable your account if resource usage starts affecting other shared hosting users on the same server. Please check the TOS for details.
Yes, new signups usually come with discounts, but they do not apply to renewals.
There is no word on AdWords credits or other marketing credits.
Shared plans should not be used for video storage, so you will have to get a VPS plan if you need to host a lot of videos.
Plans are priced on a monthly basis and can be terminated at all time, but you should check the details in the host’s official terms of service.
InMotion Hosting Reviews
I have been with Hosting24 for a few months and they are OK. They have room for improvement. Their support needs a ton of work. I ask a question about their services and they give me a copy and paste answer that has nothing to do with what I asked. They don't take time to stop and read the question. They have some good features such as 2 web builders, Softaculous which are great if you are a newbie to making sites. They have great uptime. The entire month the server was up 99.9% of the time. I monitored it myself. Overall if you are looking for inexpensive hosting this is the place to go. Every plan offers a free domain which is great if you need a domain and site.
Hello, i have my website hosted by hosting24.com for 2 weeks now, and first, i configured the nameservers wrong, and the support was very friendly and nice, so i could get it back up. But later on, i experienced problems like, not reachable website's, veeeeerryyyy slow loading page's, so on. Now they are saying they have a problem with their ISP... Even the CPanel loads veryy slow.
But is has some features that are very nice like, unlimited diskspace and bandwith, but uptime is bad :(, nice support.
I've been with hosting24.com since 2011. I haven't had any issues with them, the webchat support is much helpful. I lost all my files last time and they had a back up for me and quickly restored it. People who are saying they delete your files, ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BACK UP YOUR SITE.
the only time they have suspended my account was when they found some sort of malicious file, they give you the path of where they have located it and advise you on how to remove it.
I literally just got support a few minutes ago it is currently 11:47AM in South Australia and someone was able to talk to me within 5 minutes.
Very happy with the service and value for money.
I had a short, but horrible experience with Hosting24. My site went down for hours on end, and the only information their live chat support provided was that they were being attack with a 3gb/s ddos attack and that is why the site was being unresponsive. I have experienced many different vps and webhosting providers, and none of them lacked basic ddos protection. I attempted to ask a few more detailed questions about the situation and the chat representative just kept pasting random answers that were not related to my questions at all. This made me believe that I was being assisted by a bot which was very frustrating. There are many other webhosting and vps providers with better prices, support and uptime. I would suggest everyone stay clear of this hosting site.
I think it's almost perfect, there are some issues, but overall it's the best hosting service I had. And support is nice too, when there is a problem.
The only good thing about this company is the features that it offers. The servers are super slow, to the point where only a maximum mysql requests done at once is limited to 2 or it fails. I tried to transfer a domain from them to get out of the hell hole service that they provide, and several times they have delayed the transfer. They even delayed the transfer so much that my expiry date came and went and they said there was nothing that they could do about it. And then they would not release it to a new registrar without me renewing it before I transferred when it was them who caused it to fail.
They tried to bill me 10 different times for a renewing payment that was not due for another 2 months. 10 times, so I reported them as credit card fraud to both my creditcard company and the BBB affiliate for international since they are no on american soil.
They are very quick to respond to requests but do not look into issues at all before responding and 99% of the time they never even read what you were asking about, so their answer is either wrong, not useful or simply already answered in the question that was asked and was not an answer at all.
Hosting24 is the worse I have every been with. They are not in america when they said they were. They do not provide great support, even if there is a issue with down time they will tell you its your problem. They will not bother even accessing your account to investigate.
They also have no phone number to reach them at. If you want downtime ALL the time, use these guys. They do it well!
I am with hosting24.com as a reseller for at least 2 years.
Many problems, often it's just some little down time, but it is annoying to have the downtime for me or my clients.
OFTEN I login to a cPanel and bam! I lost the connection for 5 minutes.
I really do not recommend hosting24, even it's now better in 2013 than in 2011.
First of all I ordered the $4.84 per month Silver package. All was fine, servers were up before 24 hours of my purchase. Was all going well for the first week until I had my first issue. It was a DDOS account on another website that they hosted and shared the same IP as mine. No problem, what did I expect for $4.84 per month. I then upgraded to their gold package which wasn't much more and it gave me a dedicated IP server so no more DDOS issues. 24/7 live support is GREAT and their pricing is fantastic. Can't fault them other than the silver package.
I've started a e-commerce website based on Prestashop.
At first Hosting24.com seemed a good option. But in less than a week I realized that Hosting24 sucks: extremly slowly, my site is constantly down, lots of problems with SQL DB...
Yes, they have lots of great features, but if your site doesn't work, what will you do with them?
Customer support also sucks: they don't give any explanations why the website charges so slowly. They only fix your issue... for less than 3 days, then back again with the same issues.
I wouldn't recommend Hostig24.com to anyone.
Looking for a webhost? DO NOT use hosting24.com. I've been making websites for 10 years, and never had a problem with a host but this one was a nightmare. Site was hacked twice in two weeks (this has never happened to me before), then they didn't do a proper backup (as they claim to do) and lost months worth of work. They are now refusing to give a refund or even admit they are at fault.
I've migrated my accounts from other hosting service and that was the supidiest thing I've ever done. Hosting 24 support sucks!! WE've been weeks without sending email and they dont try to silve it. We've a ticket with them since August, 1st. They always try to escape . Our domains arent blacklisted and the mail sometime sends others dont, but they think its the others (gmail, hotmail, any provider) fault... BIF FREAKIN LOL!!!
One month ago they have updated servers and our trash email, mail filter rules, etc... have disappeared, putting the trash emails in the Inbox...
Worst hosting service ever!!
Hosting24 rocks, They have a lot of features and add-ons that can be enabled in they'r cPanel. The support replied to all my tickets within 10 minutes and they were always able to solve my problems. The only problem I had was a litle DNS downtime of less than an hour.
1 First word: SUCKS!
So yeah, Me and my friend needed a webhost for our website.
Some guy recommend Hosting24.com to us.
We thought, Well ok lets do that then!
First experience was: DAMN it takes long to setup the nameservers :|
Well after that everything was fine for like 5 hours i think.
No problems, Support was fine they even openend some ports for us :)
So we got happy, and thought well This is a good host :)
But after a view hours, First downtime.
Well that was ok it was only for a few minutes...
But then.... It just keeps going down after a few hours :@
So 1 thing: DO NOT HOST THERE!!!
To Much Downtime!
My brother recommended me hosting24, i have 2 websites with them now. One is a wordpress site and the other one i built with Sitebuilder they offer in the control panel. All in all it is a good hosting company, cheaper than most and working ok.
I never really needed support from techs as my brother helped me a lot, but once i entered the chat (my domain was not registered) and they answered instantly and registered the domain.
Avoid this hosting company at all cost if you value your data. Here is why.
We run an online newspaper with hosting24. When we suddenly noticed data missing we contacted the ’help desk’ to remedy this. The guy ignored our request and suggested a backup restore. We then searched ourselves in the SQL database and discovered that a table had crashed. We contacted the ‘help desk’ to point this out, but the guy (another one) ignored this and suggested a backup restore. We finally reluctantly agreed, trusting the advertisement of Hosting24 that they back up every 7 days and there would be no loss of data.
After their backup we notice that our newspaper is a disaster. All our illustrations, video and audioclips of the last eight months (more than a hundred of them!) have been deleted. We contact the help desk, and the guys (always another one) respond that the missing files weren’t there anyway, that probably ‘hackers’ have deleted our files (the idea!), even that we have deleted the files ourselves!! The incompetent ‘help desk’ doesn’t take the responsibility for the mess they create, are not even prepared to look into it and blame the customer, adding insult to injury.
The result? Your data deleted and many days of tedious work in perspective to restore what they have messed up.
Hosting24 attracts customers with false promises but is a disgrace to the web hosting business.
Is the worst experience ever had, they have huge problems on keeping online the clients websites like me!
Many times I aske the reason of being offline and they always answer in the same way:
We have just received a HUGE (over 3GB/s incoming traffic) DDoS attack targeting the Server . Our CISCO guard firewall was unable to handle such attack, so we have forced to null-route the IPs of the server. Our engineers are doing an immense job in dealing with the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
Now good luck to anyone who want to join them... I am leaving and thanks for all the damages received!
They were fine for a few years but recently, over the last 4 months, my site has been going down twice a month for periods ranging from 3 to 5 DAYS. The final straw was after being out for 2 days tech support marked my service ticket " on hold " without resolving the problem, on hold to them is the same as closed.
They were blaming the outages on a dos attack with what clearly was a boiler plate message that stated it would be resolved within 3 hours which in reality turned out to be a minimum of 3 days
Hosting24.com that sucks my reseller plan has problem with ocational crashes, they ofer change my account to a new server with new features, but after the change all my site have problems, make a post in wordpres and in the second post the server say limit reached.... I ask for this and answer that is for a cloudlinux, pto preserve to others cliens sites. other of my sites after a week is down and the support nos solve this. with my boxbilling problem forthe server update they say in 24h the problems is solve, but 3 days of the claim for this.. and I still wait for a solution.
The only thing I like about it because of the price. Uptime is not as guaranteed but it's not a big deal to me, several times (2-3 times) in 6 months. But I decide to move to another hosting provider when I see the problem from their anti-spam system. Block emails and my visitors when their IPs are listed on stopforumspam even though they are not the spammers. They just unluckily received IP from ISP that was used by spammers (email not even match) lol Then I sent a ticket to them and they told me all their shared hosting servers used that stopforumspam plugin and tell me to move to use VPS =))) Support ticket is not really good. Sometimes don't understand what I was asking.
Features & uptime were great, but SSH-access was limited to gold-account. Support guided me to upgrade silver -> gold, and gave access to SSH. About one year later I tried to access SSH, but was unable to. I opened a ticket to request support, and was replied that SSH isn't offered for gold-users but only for VPS, which is roughly ~4 x more expensive.
I needed SSH just in case I had to test scripts and I was ready to for not using this feature but having access to it... Unfortunately I was charged for feature which I wasn't able to use. For this I canceled my account.
In my opinion they should have notified change of account plans.
For basic hosting seems to be ok, but beware of unfair changes to plans.
they suck, their support staff does not know what they are talking about. ive had a billing issue where my card will over billed by $50 and attempt to resolve has been going on for 3 days with no progress worst support ever!
This hosting company is does not have any honor to a customer.
They delete all of my files and now avoid to answer my ticket that I want my money back.
1. money to pay hosting
2. more than 2 year of work, files, content and database
3. more than 72 hour of work to rebuild my site using my content backup and put it in other hosting company
4. more than enough downtime
I'm sure you can calculate how much I lost
Very big mistake to take this company to host your site.
Read this story about them at drupal and at my site
Their antispam filters are too bad. And their support is too bad. Sometimes my brother is more helpful then they are. Coz it takes minimum of 2 hrs for a support ticket. They don't support 24/7 actually.
I have been hosting with them for 2 years and never had any problems they couldn't solve. Their support is top notch and helps out everytime.
nothing great with hosting24!!! they are worst company..very dull,no quick response from there side.really a bad experience i had with this host.
Fast and cheap, needed to setup my wordpress theme, live chat answered instantly and helped me, +1
The members area is clean and simple, very easy to understand
Hosting24 does a great job for low profile websites. I have been using them for just about 9 months now and have to say I am impressed. They have great software (Installers, script support, ect) and excellent hardware. However their connection speed isn't the greatest.
Every now it will have connection errors and other times it make take a little while to load. Yet these occurrences are rare and minor.
I would highly suggest this host to everyone except companies and high-value groups.
Hosting24 is really great because of all the features and support, the only not so great it's the price, it's expensive but great....if you have enough money buy it.
