HostRocket is a privately owned company that was founded in 1999 by Brendan Brader (now the CEO) and John Reyes (now the CTO).

Today, the company trades under the company name of HostRocket and is based in Clifton Park, NY.

HostRocket hosts 50,000 websites. HostRocket owns its data centre, which is based near its HQ in New York. The data centre is over 10,000 square feet which, the company boasts, is large enough to house several thousands of servers with plenty of room to grow.

The data centre’s network is connected up via redundant OC-12 fiber loops to Time Warner Telecommunications' nationwide fiber network. Staff are on site 24/7 all year round.

The host uses the Linux platform and offers shared hosting, dedicated server hosting, reseller web hosting, e-commerce hosting, collocation, and application hosting.

In 2005, the HostRocket.com team launched sister company ViaTalk, LLC (Logical Link Control). It has grown rapidly over the last few years and now has customers in 2,200 markets across all 50 states.

In 2007, the co-founder of HostRocket, Brendan Brader, was added to the “40 Under Forty” list of emerging business leaders by The Business Review.

Brendan Brader and John Reyes spend time mentoring the robotics team at their former high school, Shenendehowa High School. Over the last four years, they have also donated $80,000 to sponsor the team and allow them to compete in competitions, country-wide.
