Streamline was launched in 1999 by its parent company, Dollamore Ltd. Dollamore Ltd sold to United Internet around the same time, a massive company which also owns 1&1 hosting and FastHosts.

Today, the company trades under the company name of Streamline.Net with Andrew Dollamore as the CEO. The company is based in the UK.

Streamline hosts 150,000 domains. Its data centres are based in the UK.

The host uses Windows and Linux servers and offer shared and reseller hosting packages.

Streamline.net gives registered charities 50% off any paid hosting account. So far they have given away over £20,000 in discount to charities.

There are a lot of complaints directed at Streamline for unauthorised account charges. According to some users, they have successfully used legal means to claim money back from the company.
