Founded in 1996, Sakura Internet is a Japanese-based web hosting and datacentre rental company. They offer a wide range of services including shared, VPS, cloud, and dedicated hosting. Since they opened, Sakura has continued to expand, going public in 2005 and moving into China in 2006. For the last 9 years, they've focused on expanding their products and server capacity by revamping old datacentres and opening new ones.
Sakura Internet has a wide variety of services available for their clients including shared, VPS, cloud, dedicated, and datacentre rental space for sale. Their shared servers come in several different plans, but each one includes:
Additional plans include WordPress preinstalled, MySQL and Cron job access, shared SSL, FTP and SSH access, and a server control panel.
Sakura Internet also offers VPS server solutions for those whole want a little more control. With Sakura VPS, you'll get root access to your VPS server and your choice of operating system, SSDs, and unlimited data transfers. They also have a VPS for Windows servers Their cloud plans are essentially the same as their VPS, but with more scaling flexibility, ranging from 1GB of storage all the way to 224GB.
And of course, for ultimate server control, Sakura Internet has dedicated servers. Starting with a Xeon E5 processor and up to 800GB SSD storage, they offer only high end dedicated server solutions. They also have dedicated Windows servers, and the option to combine multiple servers for more computing power.
Sakura Internet has datacentre facilities in Tokyo, Osaka, and an emergency datacentre in Hokkaido, in case of seismic activity. Each datacentre is equipped with an external connection of 443 Gbps. Their internet is provided and backed up with several major ISPs. Each datacentre has 24/7 on-site technical support and in-house security.
Every single plan comes with ample customer support. This includes phone support, remote server access support (so someone else can fix the problem for you), and access analysis, so you can see what's going on with your server. They also offer a FAQ full of technical questions, a knowledgebase, and email help.
Sakura Internet offers more security support than many of their competitors. All of their shared plans include foreign IP filters and an automatic monitoring system. There's also options for SSL and shared SSL certificates and a web app firewalls. Dedicated servers packages also come with 24/7 server monitoring should something go wrong as well as firewall protection. Sakura Internet usually invoices their clients monthly and has discounts available for longer contracts. However, clients do have the option to make a yearly lump payment if they want. Sakura Internet has a two week trial period for many of their plans, giving clients the option to try before they buy. Like most companies, your money back following the two weeks excludes things like domain registrations and SSL certificates. Clients have the option to pay with a credit card, bank transfer, automatic bank payment, or with a cheque in the mail.
Sakura Internet has a wide range of hosting and internet solutions for everyone.
