When looking for WordPress-specific hosts, you've got a ton of options - and many of them are pretty pricey. So, it is refreshing to see a hosting company that offers inexpensive plans in this hosting niche.
While the pricing is very transparent, there are some drawbacks to consider before going all-in on this Asia-based WordPress host.
Is WPWebHost the right choice for you? This review will help you answer that question.
About WPWebHost
Founded in 2007, WPWebHost specializes specifically in managed WordPress hosting. They are owned by Exabytes Group Companies, who are dedicated to providing customers with a range of communication and IT solutions.
Their headquarters are in Penang Cybercity, Malaysia, and they offer customers their choice of two datacenters: one in the United States and another in Singapore.
There are two main aspects that stand out. First, they don't have special introductory rates so the low sign-up rates are the same as the renewal rates. Second, hosting comes with a free domain name for as long as you host with WPWebHost.
What is WPWebHost's uptime? They offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee, which is in the standard for the industry.

What Hosting Plans Does WPWebHost Offer?
WPWebHost offers only WordPress hosting, so if you are not using the most popular CMS in the world, this is not the host for you. However, if you are one of the 75,000,000 websites using WordPress, this host is a solid option.
They offer five plans and a choice of one, two, or three-year terms, with discounts for longer-term plans. For example, the rates for different terms for their WP Blogger plan are:
Term | Price (per month) |
1 month | $8.00 |
1 year | $5.00 |
2 year | $4.00 |
3 year | $3.00 |
WPWebHost Plan Features
According to WPWebhost, they are dedicated to providing affordable WordPress hosting that is not focused entirely on profits. To this end, they offer a total of five hosting packages aimed at different-sized businesses. Every plan comes with a 100-day money-back guarantee and a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
Like most hosts, plan features vary based on the tier you choose. However, all plans come with:

- At least 1 hosted site (up to 30 for larger plans)
- Unlimited data transfer
- Multiple server locations
- Jetpack (free edition)
- Lifetime free domain
- Unlimited sub- and parked-domains

- Daily server back-up
- Easy site restoration
- Free email addresses (limit based on plans)
- Free staging environment
- Plesk control panel

WPWebHost Hosting Plan Comparisons
Whether you are looking to host just one small website or need to host up to 30, WPWebHost has a plan for you.
WP Blogger
Prices for this beginner plan start at $3 a month and include all the features listed above. Recommended traffic per month is 10,000 visits, which is quite generous for a low-level plant. You also get 10 GB of disk space and two email addresses.
WP Lite
As their most popular plan, this comes with all the features above plus free premium migration so you can easily move your site. It is designed to support up to 20,000 visitors per month. It also comes with the personal edition of JetPack, 30 GB of disk space, and unlimited email addresses.
WP Essential
Designed for sites that get 30,000 unique visitors per month, this package includes all features of WP Lite plus 45 GB of storage and hosting for up to two WordPress sites. This plan and each plan higher are recommended for e-commerce sites, but they don't list any specific features for online stores.
WP Plus
All WPWebHost plans use the Plesk control panel, one of the most widely used hosting control panels.
This plan allows you to host up to five WordPress sites and offers up to 60 GB of disk space. It includes all the features of previous plans, Jetpack professional, and is designed for sites that see around 50,000 unique visitors per month.
WP Geek
For the "true WordPress master," this plan is designed for companies that need to host up to 30 higher-traffic websites. Plans include all the above features as well as 100 GB of storage. It is recommended for sites that see around 150,000 unique monthly visitors.
WPWebHost Support

WPWebHost offers 365/24/7 support, which certainly sounds encouraging. However, it is only available through a ticketing system, which means you could be left waiting for hours.
A test of their pre-sale chat system showed they were unavailable at 4 pm CST. Their site did not list live support hours.
They do, however, offer Chinese language support, which may be important to some customers.
If you plan to use their knowledgebase, you may be a bit disappointed. It seems quite thin, though they do offer managed migration and other features that could limit the need for a detailed knowledgebase.
Guarantees
WPWebHost offers a 100-day money-back guarantee for all hosting plans, which is more than almost any host. Most hosts offer between two weeks and 30 days. WPWebHost gives you plenty of time to figure out if they are right for you.
They also offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee, which is solidly average though not amazing. It allows up to 43 minutes of downtime per month.
Infrastructure
WPWebHost offers customers their choice of two datacenter locations: Denver, USA and Singapore. Both are quite secure and offer a range of security features. Information about both datacenters is available on their website and is quite detailed.
Denver, USA Datacenter
The Denver datacenter features a secure entrance, vibration detection, biometric validation, 24/7 onsite security, hourly patrols, and temperature, humidity, and baseline alarms.
Singapore Datacenter
Their Singapore datacenter is a single-tenant secured compound with redundant environmental controls, high power and redundant electrical systems, fire protection, CCTV cameras, biometric controls, and 7/24 security guards.
Summary
Overall, WPWebHost is a solid option for smaller sites who are looking for a reliable and affordable web hosting option. While there are no major red flags, they are unlikely to be up to the task of supporting very high traffic or enterprise-level WordPress sites.
If you are looking to host multiple sites, it is not the most affordable option on the market - at least when it comes to regular shared hosting plans. In addition, the limited datacenters may be a sticking point for businesses not based in the United States or Asia.
Otherwise, WPWebHost is an intriguing option. We don't see managed WordPress hosting for such great rates. And with all the features they provide, it is definitely worth checking out.
